The trend lately is to make desk lamps smaller and focused on a relatively smaller area. I have such a task light for my home office desk and use it daily. But there are times I need something that lights up the entire desk area, sometimes I need a little light and sometimes I need a lot. The room's ceiling light is too inconvenient and besides I don't want to light up the entire room. Add to that I a picky about my decor and most light fixtures are too unattractive. When I saw this I knew in a second that it would be for me. It doesn't look like a lamp at all.
